Shaved Emblems

Just wondering if anybody has taken the Lightning emblems on front fenders and SVT emblem on back off of there L.
I would like to put the blow dryer to them but don't want to wreck the paint underneath. Of course I am assuming they are attached with adhesive tape.

Thanks
Dave

Shaving Emblems

Just so you know, that can't be counted as a mod. Removing parts is an anti-mod!

This truck belongs to GreezLightning over on the F150world.com board. Definately not my choice of shaving the emblems and then having them painted on again, but this should give you a general idea of what it looks like.

Here is a picture of Sixpipes awesome looking L. This is what I want my L to look like someday.

Cool

Here's like a link to some more Go_rila pictures. $200/emblem. I must have been like rich back then and everything.

Actually I did the opposite. I added an emblem. I just bought the Lightning emblem (from the fenders) from the dealership, and am going to put it under the SVT F150 emblem on the tailgate. Everyone I bump into or race usually gets a good viewing of my L's ****, and if they catch up later on foot wherever I am, they ask what the SVT stands for. But when I tell them it's a Lightning, they understand. So to put everyone to rest on the topic, and to add a little something more to look at, I added the emblem.

But to the point. There are 2 pegs on the backside of the Lightning emblems, so there is a guarnteed 2 holes per fender for the emblem itself. Along with being double-sided taped to the truck. Don't know about the SVT F150 one though.

Thumbs up Swapping emblems

I removed the SVT F150 from the tailgate and replaced it with the Lightning from the fender.

The holes are the same, a bigger one on the left and a smaller oval on the right.

Hey there BlackLight:
I'm right next door to ya, up around the Kelowna(Westbank), BC area. Finally......someone from BC. I knew there had to be at least one other. I picked up my 'Bolt' at Brown Bros last August. Come out to the Okanagan often? Hear about Brown Bros annual event at Mission raceway(August)? What kind of L do you have(year/mods)? Other than some blond chick that I've been trying to capture the attention of in her red '01 around these parts, there aren't any other L owners that I heard of or seen.
