well from what info i have ,i am only going to be able to use an air induction system on my 2001 L ,without putting my warranty in harms way
, i guess i will wait on the new VOLANT Cool Air Intake Systems and High Flow Air Intake Tubing, to be finished for the 2001 L model.
I hope not being able to add an manifold ,oil breather does not hurt anything in the long run, since you have to add a chip to use breather, to bad for me i guess?
are there any bad effects of having the pcv valve channel oil back into intake? does it effect supercharger?in the long run? thanks agaian.

Hate to burst your bubble, but what make you think a air induction system will not void your warranty?
It wasn't on there when you got the truck. If you get a dealer that wants to bust b@lls anything you do can have reprocushins. There is no guarantees with mods. Yes there is the magnason act or something like that to protect us ,but do you want to have to battle ford? The bottom line is do what ever you want but if something happens make sure your L is as bone stock as can be when the dealer sees it.

The bad news is - Ford will TRY to viod your warranty anyway they can.
The good news is they are in deep financial trouble and
they cannot afford the best lawyers anymore................
or is that their in deep financial trouble bad news..........

An air kit will do nothing for you as far as extra HP so you might as well keep it stock. In fact I tested the stock air box against an open filter last year in a '01 and in 95+ degree temps the stock box made a truck run 0.2 faster in the 1/4 mile. Unless you are installing overdrive supercharger pullies you don't need an open conical filter. Enjoy your lightning as it is because it sounds as if you don't want any warranty problems. When you want to go fast/ quick and don't mind buying power train components that can cost several thousand dollars(if FMCO voids your warranty) then start modding your truck.
I agree, you mod the hell out of it, for a few seconds in the 1/4 -but, for guys like me who don't race their L (other than the occasional 5.O, light to light), it doesn't make sense. I would love to make it faster -but, I don't have the means to replace 5k$ motors at will. This has been like an itch I can't scratch -but,
I've decided to forego the Chip-n-filter-n-pulley. Long live the extended warranty.
At least until I drive someone elses "modded" L

Air intake, all I can say is PSP fast air!
You could do a throttle body, I can't see ford voiding a warrenty for that, plus you could put the stock one back on in no time.
You could also do a shift kit from PSP, there's no way any tech would catch that mod.
You could do the long tube headers and cat back exhaust.
and I would bet that you could de an electric fan with no problems.
there's ways of getting around it.
