Moving To GA need some help?
I am going to be moving to GA in about 2-3 months to work on a new power plant. The plant is being built near Sandersville and I am looking at living in Macon or Milledeville. I was wondering if there are any members in the area that could give me some advice on places to live.
Thanks,
JBH

I remember you posting this request earlier. I live in Warner Robins which is about 15-20 miles South of Macon. WR has the largest air force logistics center in the us--lot's of engineers here. There are a dozen or so new apartments scattered around--newer ones going up all the time--big real estate boom going on.
Macon has 4 good ones--Rivoli Run(off Forsyth Rd.), Colonial Grande(on Weslyan Dr.), Forrest Pointe(on Forrest Hill Rd.), and River Place(on Arkwright Rd.).
There are several L owners in and around here--maybe they'll 'chime' in?

Rivoli Run is top notch. I lived there for a year when I went to school in Macon. I had their "loft" unit, which is an one bedroom, one bath unit with a spiral staircase going up to a loft that's ahbout 250 sq. ft. The loft overlooks the livingroom with a gas fireplace. The livingroom has about 25 ft ceiling. A beautiful unit! I really loved it.

I grew up about 30 min from Sandersville and about 20 min from Milledgeville, and about 20 min from Macon (in middle of all of it). You'll get cheaper housing in Milledgeville, and the drive will be much better everyday. The good housing in Macon is moving to teh northside going out of town. The drive would be longer x-tra 20 or 30 min. Milledgeville has the college there so you can still find decent housing prices and maybe even find houses to rent. Maybe this hepls a little.
Good Luck
