Still have mine at 55,000 miles. Faster than ever. Every time I think about trading and all the "stuff" I'd have to take of to return it to stock I say the heck with it. When the 100K warranty gets close that will be the time. Also, I want the 3 valve heads that will be on the 03. Also, I think there will be a stoppage of Ls with the new body in 04 and there might not be another L until 05 like with the last two body changes. I won't want to wait that long. By the time the 03s come out I will be high mileage and ready for a fresh horse. I figure the only mods that will fit in a change over will be the cal tracs and the stereo. Chip can probably be reburned.

I've still got mine because I only got it off the importers 3 months ago, after a 1 year period of total BS (don't get me started ). It's got all of 2000 miles , could I be going for a record with that?

I think my buddies dad has the lowest miles on his '99L... He has only 800 miles on it and he also has a 89 GT with only 10k miles... He also has a Acura with 250k miles that is his daily driven car...

Hey Mate. I've got to ask; does the truck impress as much over there as it does here?

Personally I wish Ford would import the Falcon Ute XR8 'Pursuit 250'! I'd buy one in a second! I've been drooling over the Falcon Ute performance versions for several years; I wish like hell they'd import it.

*Tickford enhanced 250kW 5.6 litre V8 engine
*Heavy duty Tremec 5-speed manual OR optional 'adaptive shift' automatic transmission
*Premium brakes with huge grooved front and rear discs and Bosch ABS
*18 X 8 inch alloy rims with high performance Dunlop SP9000 tyres
*Unique bodykit including front airdam spoiler, side skirts and rear bumper
*Optional hard tonneau cover with rear spoiler
*Optional Brembo brake package
*Leather seats, Momo steering wheel and gear ****
With features like these, there'll be no mistaking the XR8 'Pursuit 250' Ute on the road.

Roger- Does it impress, you Betcha! You've never seen so many jaws drop in your life when people see it cruise by or parked somewhere.

It took to the Summer Nationals car show ( http://www.summernats.com.au ) a few weeks ago, talk about creating a stir. My only gripe was I didn't have the front Ford Badge and I got tired of morons asking if it was a Chev. Better yet so many asked me if it was a blown V6!

I gotta say I'd pass on the Falcon XR series utes, even as a Ford fan. They are have been outdone by Holden HSV utes (Chev) for years unfortunately. Plus, I used to own a Holden Special Vehicles VR Maloo (ex-girlfriends ride), so I can testify that even in 250hp form non-chipped (current spec is 340hp!) They could haul-***. Only misgiving being they get extremely lose in the tail end and make the L feel like it has traction control by comparison.

Now if you want to see something very special in a ute checkout this HSV concept pic attached. If you're hungry for more take a look at the website :
HSV HRT Website
p.s. the HRT has 470HP !!

I still have mine. 57000+ miles, 3 intercoolers, original motor and tranny, and a 11 sec time slip.

I'll keep her forever.
