I am not using a breather but what I've seen on the boards is that oil does cause a problem. I myself had smoke upon startup a couple of times which went away once I went back to 5w20 Motocraft synthetic.
Also... don't really know if this effects this problem... but I've seen a few throtlle bodies that are really dirty on the back side of the butterflies... it almost appears as carbon. Haven't check mine yet but I will.
Just food for thought. :o

I have an oil breather for both the passenger side and driver side. They were really a waste of money. I used them only briefly a couple of hundred miles. I never had any oil in the intake boot, intercooler, or throttle body. I would say that it is not necesary. If you want to have one and be cool then by all means do it!
