2001 L small mod group?

Hi, i want to do the following simple mods to my 2001 L=
1. single stage chip
2.complete mass air induction system (complete system!)
2.5=boost bypasskit
3.oil breather cap.
where is the best place to accomplish this small tune up?2nd will this void my warranty?
4.i am familiar with the j$m 1st stage tune up ,but i will be using as a work truck dont need the complete 1st stage just above items as $$$ is an issue also. thank you LR.

Hey LightnigRod,
1. A chip WILL void your warranty, but if you take the chip out and drain the battery before you take it in, you shouldn't have any problems.

2. Now, for a chip I would go with a JL Diablo Sport chip, it's single stage - $250

3. 2001's already have 90mm MAF's, they come stock. So If money is and issue, I would stay basic and go with a JL Air Industion Kit - $140

4. For a boost bypass kit go with JDM's, even though I think you wouldn't really need it since your not getting a lower boost pulley, but his is $25

5. And an oil breater cap from JDM is $30

So all this would be $445.......hope this helps

btw JL's website is www.johnnylightningperf.com
and JDM's is www.teamjdm.com

you can buy an FRPP oil breather cap from several places for about $17.99.

part number M-6766-N303 and available from any FRPP dealer.

same exact part as mentioned above.

No, you don't need a chip with JL's air induction system. I have it on my truck right now and don't have a chip yet.

Bassani exhaust will give you more power and will not void the warranty. If I didn't want to void my warranty,I would leave the stock airbox in and go with a replacement K&N panel filter and do the cat-back exhaust, maybe line mod for the trans. That should give you 20 hp..

Are you sure 20 HP is a lot for those just those mods. I haven't heard anyone say they got more HP from the cat-back and maybe just 1 HP from the filter...Does the line mod even give extra HP I know it is better for the transmission and reduces the lag during the shift...

The exhaust is good for 10-15 and the air filter could be as much as 5,but I have seen some dyno results showing a loss of hp with certain open filters,so,obviously there is alot of room in these numbers, but,I can say that the exhaust alone on my truck was worth two tenths. I wasn't implying that the trans mod would give any more power, just a good mod,and one not obvious when you take the truck in to the dealer!
