Talking Lightning vs Mustang...............

..............and the winner is...................The Lightning by a big **** whooping. I've beat many Stang GT's, new and old. Modded and stock. Watch out for the highly modded ones though.

Moter Trend says the 1/4 mile time is 14.0, flat. Road & Track says it's 14.5.

Hunt one down and give it a whirl.

This doesn't pertain to newer ones, but be really carefull, good drivers and a few mods can be tricky My buddy has a '90 5.0 with only: exhaust (no headers), MAF & MAS, Ram Air, and he is hitting 14's flat. not too shabby for an old mustang with 100k+ on it!

I just sold my 2000 GT. Went 14.12 first time to the track, on radials, full tank of gas. Backed up with 14.16. I forget the MPH, but I think it was right at 100.

there's a lot of sleepers too.............My best friend's brother has a '92 GT, with TrickFlow heads, forged rods and pistons, and major internal work, headers and Dynomax, and K&N Filter........he runs 12.7's to 12.9's all night long on slicks.........if he hits the 150 shot he'll pull 11's all night long

After many an ***-whipping, when they ask him, what you got done, he says "Flowmasters!" Except for the Chrome GT rims, the sucker looks stock as hell!

be careful of the sleepers!

I bet the guys a Mustangs & Fast Fords could beat high 13's out of an 01 GT. It'd probably need a new trans and clutch after they ran it though.
