Tranny

I'm looking for opinion's on the best care for my new 02 tranny. Bout 2500 miles on her now and wanted to give er the best chance of a long life. Shift kit, synthetic...??? When, brand, who might I get parts from or where can I get work done at near Orlando. Thanx for the help.

If you want it to be good then keep it stock. That way if anything goes wrong you won't have warrenty issues, it'll be Fords problem.

Well if you are going to modify your L (like most of us have) put in a shift kit. Both my 99 and 01 Ls have/ had level 10 shift kits installed. If you are just going to slightly modify your L you can go with just a line mod valve. But if you are going to run larger pulleys and all the bolt ons, do yourself a favor and go with either a level 10 shift kit or the factory tech valve body.
