Question gauge install

i was wondering who has installed a oil pressure gauge(mechanical) and what did it require. i am going to use stainless braided line for mine. is 6ft going to be long enough to go from the pillar to the sender?also on the water gauge, did you use the spot on the block where the plug is above the sender? i did a search and there was not much info on the install. thanks.

I just recently installed an autometer electric water temp and removed the plug in the block that is just above and to the right of the oil filter. Works like a champ. I think you need an allen wrech to get it out. The guage came with the adapter to fit where the plug came out. You will loose about 4 gal of coolant and it will come out fast. Make sure you truck is cooled down.

Paul.
