Check out their website. Just show up with about $20, sign your life away, line up & run 'em. Be sure to bring a helment with you (most guys use motorcycle helments). I was nervous my first time, but there is not much to it...just watch a few runs and go for it!!!! If you're not addicted now you will be after this. Check out this website. It is a step by step what do do list.www.socal-fbodies.org/resource/dragrace.html

Thanks Black Bomber, ]

Don't want to sound like an idiot, but I really want to get an official time for my truck. I will hopefully bring a couple of friends that know a little more about racing and if I can't I hope everyone there will help.

Most of ya'll probably know all of this, but the track opens at 9AM and you can race from 10AM to 5PM. The cost is $25 to race $8 to watch. I asked if I was required to bring a helmet, and she said yes if you are in the 12's or below. I really don't know what my truck will run (it should be in the 12's) but I will bring a helmet just in case. l did not specifically ask when you HAD to have a helmet. A friend of mine used to race his car, but it was only in the low 14's and they did not require him to have a helmet. Anyway information if you didn't already know it.

Talking

Most tracks require a helmet if you run 13.99 or faster!

AggieSVT...you remind me of myself just before I went down there for the first time!!!! Your truck will run somewhere in the 13-14 second range (lowest end). Yes, bring a helment...they make it sound like a NASCAR inspection, but it's not. They just wanna make sure your truck is "safe". When you get there look for the other L's & just park by 'em. Everyone out there is very friendly & helpful. They are all guys just like you who wanna drive fast. At the end of the track when you are coming back (on the side road) a guy will give you your official timeslip - - you'll get one for each run. Just relax brother...it's so much fun. The day goes by so fast you won't believe it!!!!!!!

I hope to run a little faster than that!!! I do have a few mods on already and I want to see if they will be enough for maybe a 12.9 or 12.8!!! I may be ordering some more stuff from Mike T. if I don't get close!!!

I may be wishing a little too much here as well.

Logan,

Why does Bankston Ford have your truck? Also, I was there back in December (around the 11th if I remember correctly) getting my 2nd paper tag 'cause of an apparent backlog upstairs at the dealership, and this white L goes blowing out of the parking lot like a bat out of &*(^. About the only thing I saw was one of those Eaton inside stickers on the back window. Was that you? Whoever it was pulled onto 121 going west and just WOT it over the hill.
