K&n

Just wondering if anyone has a K&N part number for the stock airbox. Looking to buy one today.

depends on the year...

I believe 2001-2002 is 33-2140-1 and 1999-2000 is 33-2140

K&N

i just recieved an email from K&N ,stating they did not have an application ready for 2001 lightning yet to check back in 60 t0 90 days?

Macromotive.com has them, part number is KNE-33-2140-1.

pretty sure

either part number will work,i think they dropped the 1 at the end.

LightnigRod, that's very weird as I have one in my 01 right now. I wonder why they would tell you that.

Vruhm, tallimeca is right. Either one will work. They are however a pain to get in. I think a few here have mentioned just trimming the ends ever so slightly. I just made it fit.

Both numbers are the exact same filter. I had a 2000 and have an '01 and put both stock filters back to back and they are identical!

The K&N I got fit fine in my '01. The same part# K&N fits fine in my dads '99. No trimming.

I noticed it also. A very tight fit it was. Finally it went though!

hi guys well at least i can get the filter ,i believe they were talking about getting back with them in 60 to 90 days for an entire intake system=K&N?

I emailed K&N 6 months ago about the fipk for my 01 and they told me then to contact them in 60-90 days. I think that is there generic answer for we have no idea.
