NITROUS

Would I make more power from a wet kit designed to spray from the injectors or just near the throttle body where everyone else does. Does the nitrous have much of a cooling effect on the blower? I think the new NOS kit is somewhere around $1500.
I'm looking at spraying a 100+hp shot with lower and maybe upper pulley. (not a stock block)

Here is the link.

I would go with a NX kit from PSP! 1500 bones is allot.

I spent about 1000 total on my kit and its perfect for the truck.

I run a 1.5lb upper and a 4lb lower and a 50shot. thats about the most I'm willing to spary until I rebuild this motor. then I want to spary atleast a 100 to 150 shot, if the bolts don't strecth out and float the heads! I'm sure ARP is working on a kit right now though.

Yes the nitrous does cool the blower a little but it keeps the air coming into the blower even colder, so its perfect for racing when there is crappy conditions because the Nitrous creates your own atmosphere. When I was down at WFC4 the only trucks that where really running up to there normal par where the nitrous truck. everybody else was way off there best times. JL couldn't get past 12.60 cause the air was so crappy, I was only sparying a 50shot with a 2lb lower pulley and I went in the 12.40's.

With the NX kit you have to rely on the design of the intake to get equal amounts of fuel and nitrous in each cylinder. With the Noszle kit it is direct injection so you don't have to worry if one cylinder is getting more than the others and running rich or lean. What do you think "Tuners"?

I'm not a nitrous kinda guy, but that NOSzle set up has to be one of the slickest things I've seen in a while. This setup will give the cylinder to cylinder distribution that these trucks need.

I also think that a 50 shot on top of the blower and 100+ with the NOSzle unit would be not only safe for the motor but extremely powerful.
IMHO

would the universal 8 cylinder kit (08008NOS) work with our trucks. It says adjustable from 100-300 hp but even with a built block i dont want to be running 100 shot everytime i use it. Would a traditional nitrous controller work the same with this system? That way I could have it jetted for 100shot but only use 50% of it. I have always liked direct port injection but hated the fact that you had to make permanent modifications the the engine. With this you can take it out whenever you want. NICE!!!
