What should I do
I have a 2001 L....What are the best mods that can be done for performance? I have considered chips, but i'm worried if it will hurt my transmission. Has anyone had a chip for a while, any problems?. Big differences?. What other engine mods, and also what are some good mods for appearance, Thanks
I have a JDM Chip, Filter, Electric fan, breather, line mod, 2# lower pulley, 1.5 upper pulley, and traction bars.
I have 26,000 miles and have nad zero problems with my engine and transmision.

I am sure other people will chime in on there tuners, JLP, and PSP I know they are happy too.

I have had a pulley(2, 3, and now, a 5 lb), chip, fresh-air filter kit(JL Ramair, and now PSP's Fast Air), and a throttle body(Mark's LFP, and now a BABolt) with stock plugs for 15,000 daily driven, 1/4 mile at the time miles. The only problem has been the cracking of the fog light lenses.
I am going to change the plugs(BR7EF) soon--maybe today. The L is coolin' down after an early AM run for some Texaco 93 even as I post.

Then I will be done for a while, well atleast to something new comes out.LOL:o
Performance Mods:
- Chip
- Filter
- Spark Plugs
- Shift Kit
- Lower Pulley
- Slicks
Try calling/e-mail all the tuners (PSP, JL, JDM, and LFP). Talk to them about what you plan todo with your truck and what see what they say. Then go with the tuner you feel more comfortable sending your money with. There is not one tuner that is considerably better than another, because they are always working on new stuff for these trucks.
Appearance:
- Hood
- Bed Cover
- Grille
- Rims
All personal preferance. Go with what you like.
