Mist Extractor

Once again I find My 13 year old Ford product is cutting edge. The 2.3 Turbo has a baffle inside the valve cover prior to the filter media, tied into the turbo intake. In the awl bidness this is sometimes referred to as a mist extractor. The droplets hit the shield and coalesce into larger drops, these larger ,heavier drops fall back into the process.....valve train..whatever. These droplets when entrained in the intake air charge will damage the impellers as well. If they are not designed to take the ,I want to say impingement. In centrifugal pumps this is a disaster. The screw type pump sheds these droplets at an angle and resists damage better. So more than A\F ratios are at risk here. The check valve in line with the pvc to prevent boost seeing the crankcase is the way to go.
