Mixing fuels (gasoline)

Hello everybody...the season out here is opening tonight and would like some info please....

Around here the highest octane I can get is 101, now what would I mix to make that octane rating slightly higher without having to pay $100 for a full tank of 101 gas, and then adding octane buster...

Any help is much appreciated

Torco Concentrated Race Fuel - Simons Petroleum out of Oklahoma, or a local speed shop. One 10 oz can mixed with 10 gallons of 93 = 104 race gas.

What have you done to your motor to make you need that high of an octane rating? Have you raised the compression of your motor with domed pistons: increased the boost drastically; sprayin'; or is your chip's timing that aggressive?

Are you currently getting pre-detonation (pinging)?

4# pulley, and chip..nothing big....just was curious...101 should be fine, I just got back from the gas station now...bought 2 gallons of 101 (only could find my 2 gallon tank) and I have 91 in there as is....once I get closer to the track, I'm going to try and find a place that sells a high octane than 91

and yes, at high rpm's, I am getting slight detonation... and that's the reason why I want to run a high octane while racing.
