Anyone else have this problem????

When driving my 01 L, when i giveit gas or go over any sort of bumps theres a squeak. It sounds like its coming from the drivers side dash or possibly suspension. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how do you get rid of it?. One more question i took my L in to the sevice department and ordered fog lights and a new rear taillight set up. How long would it take for them to get those parts in? Its been about a week and a half and no word from them.

rfat....

this is 'bitter' 95 saleen here

anyway...the squeek could be simply caused by plastic rubbing on plastic. There are variances in the production process and you may just have part of the dash rubbing against another part. The dealer has 'lil bits of rubber that it can stick in there as a "shim" of sorts to stop that sound. I had to do that on my Saleen. As far as the other parts...I waited a year for a foglight, but that was because me dealer was a tool. When they finally got around to it...they were able to get it the next day. Those tailights are in high demand though, and the dealer may have trouble getting those. Get on your service managers case...and stay on it.

I had a squak that sounds simalar to yours. I have JL s air kit on my truck and the metal piece that goes into the fenderwell was rubbing creating a horrible noise over bumps turns etc. I just wrapped it with some foam tape and the noise went away. As far as ordering parts the tailights and fog lamps should not take more then a few days . I got 2 for my truck overnight. I would just call your advisor and nicely ask him to get the ball rolling. Screaming at your service manager will get you knowhere. Actions like that make warrenty denial and voiding that much easier.
