Angry Getting !@%$&^ Rubber Off Our Trucks

Figured since a good number of you guys go to the track someone has to have a "magic formula" for getting the little bits of rubber off the wheel wells. Thus far I have tried Bug & Tar Remover, Simple Green and a high pressure car wash with degreaser...the crap is still there! Someone help a brother out...

Smile Nothing

I just let the bits dry and rubbed them off with a glove on my hand. Came right off no prob. Power washed the ground effects before washing them with soap. Everything looks great

I spray tire cleaner in the wheel wells, scrub with a long-handled tire brush, and then rinse with the hose. I follow up with a tire protectant to give a low gloss to the rubber in the well.

Cool

HI!... Everytime I go to the dragstrip, I bring some PAM cooking spray with me. I spray all inside my wheel wells and lower rear 1/4 panel. After, I just go to a local power washer's and it come right off like nothing. For the hard CAKED on rubber, I use a product called GOOF OFF. It desolves rubber and tar on contact.

For the 1/4 panels i have found that putting a nice thick coat of wax on them before doing burnouts or going to the track is the easiest resolution to your problem. For the wheel wells, i just leave the rubber inside them because its black, blends in, and is way to hard to get off.

NOOOOO!!!

No goof off, and carefull with Simple Green. Both are great products but not for paint, especially clearcoat automotive finishes. I own a hardware store and sell both products. Also, carefull with wheel cleaner around your paint too.....black especially. Dont listen to what the directions say unless you want to find out the hard way. Also watch out for any ZEP procucts. ZEP is a potent industrial cleaner and will fade paint quickly. Used Zep forumla 50 to clean something once and splattered on my buddy's white cougar....little spots all over the fender........Just my opinion.

Cool

Why take the rubber off? I think it's cool. I was considering selling Go_rila rubber in zip lock bags. Take a pinch and put it between your cheek and gum to take a tenth off at the tree. I suck at marketing................or something.
