Who is going to keep their L for a long time?

I see a lot of guys here who beat on their truck pretty good, and probably don't plan to keep it for very long. (That's cool with me, I do the same thing with my Mustang).

Anybody plan on keeping the L for a long time (10+ years)? Although I just bought mine, that's the plan. I waited a long time to get it, and plan to keep it.

(If I hadn't raced one at the dragstrip in my Mustang, I probably would have never got the bug)

My intentions are to keep it for a long time, at least for me. The last three new vehicles I've owned I've kept for an average of less than 2 years. But I think this one will be different.

I'm hoping to do the same............but I've realized that depending on what all comes out every 3-4 years in the car market, feelings can change..........and the feeling of wanting to have something in my garage as a classic may just transfer to another car/truck by '05 or '06.

But hopefully the L will be in my garage for a long time.

I plan on booting mine when Ford makes something faster (for a reasonable price of course). Maybe the Terminator stang.

I plan on keeping mine for a long time. I have in the past only kept my vehicles about 2 years. The plan for this one is to buy a beater to keep driving while the L becomes the play toy. If all goes well, that is the plan. First, I got to buy the wife a new sport utility of some kind(4X4 with biggest engine!) just in case I need to use it! .

I'll have it until the day I die. Unless some moron with no insurance totals it out for me.

6 years min. and that's part of the reason for keeping it stock, except audio, bed cover and soon-to-get Magna cat backs

Question

I plan to keep mine for the long haul.
I bought the 6 year extended warranty so i should be good for at least 6 years before trading the beast. I put a A.R.E. Z-top on it so i can camp with it, haul with it, and travel with it.
So i guess i'll keep it until something bad starts happening to it, like blowing plugs out of the heads or other things.
It looks like a sleeper now and i love it this way.---Jim

I've got the rarest of the rare-a white 99, they only made, I think, 866 of em. I'm looking for an early Bronco for a daily driver in the long run so the L will be a weekend warrior.

Working on merging the 20,000 threads to one BIG one now....
Easier fir me to manage.... Just one thread to read and close think of the time savings...
