Did you pay over sticker price on your L?

I've been casually looking at buy a new Lightning. I've been to a couple dealers here in the Chicago area, and some of them are slapping on a $4k "market adjustment" fee. WTF is that? What is everyone else's experience when buying a new L? If I find a dealer who will sell one for sticker price, is that a "good" deal?

Thanks.

p.s. I'm looking for a silver one, if anyone has seen any around Chicago.

Hell no.Just keep looking, you'll find a dealer that doesn't have their head up their azz.You should be able to get a better deal now than most of us got.

Nope... I wasn't fortunate enough to get X plan pricing but I got what I considered a good deal.

And when you take into consideration that an un-named dealer in the Dallas area was asking upto 10K over sticker... I really did well.

A-plan is for employees of ford, x-plan is for friends and family of employees. The problem is getting a dealer that will let you use it.

I got mine on x-plan, and for some reason it was cheaper than the price ICULOKN got on x-plan. but not much. You should be able to get one around $1000 under sticker with no plan.

How many 02 are they making this year?

I paid $1000 over sticker... I couldn't wait for it, and the only dealer that was getting a black one in Feb when I got mine wouldn't really budge. (I got them down from $2k over sticker to $1k)...of course if I was able to wait 4-5 months, I would have gotten a better deal, but I couldn't. Needed a car.

I Payed 29,500 for mine. It's an 01. If you don't mind a little drive call Rod Baker Ford in Plainfield,Il. Ask for Jeff Walter and tell him Paul Fender sent you. He's a good guy and they have excellent service. Best part is they are Mod friendly. If you don't know what that means you will soon enough

I just talked to someone at Rod Baker Ford. It seems that the low A.P.R. finance incentives on the 2002s is not available on the LIghtnings! Are there any more 2001s left anywhere?
