As nice as it is for all you A-plan guys to share your prices with us common folk, I really wish you WOULDN'T...we can't get that price anyway, so rubbing it in that you can dosn't make us feel better.

:-p

I still wuv you anyway but common. Most we can stretch for is X-plan...not EVERYONE here works for Ford ya'know.

I paid 30,030 for my 02 without any special plan. That price included a nice bedliner.

Thumbs up RESEARCH! It pays off!

I did my homework before dishing out thousands extra.
came across these two EXTREMELY valuable sites:

http://thevl.com/lightning/buyingalightning.html
http://www.carbuyingtips.com/carintro.html

Even if you aren't worried about money, I still highly recommend reading those, it saved me $9,000. I dunno about all you guys, but I don't have money coming out the who-haw to blow

ANYWAY, I went to the bank, got my loan, walked in with a blank check, wound up paying:

$29500 before taxes
$32200 after damn CA state taxes

I got x-plan and 0% financing, probably the best deal I'll ever get on any vehicle purchase.

I paid $29,000 for mine out the door, no special plan. It was a "demo" that was being driven by the owner of the dealership and had 3,000 miles on it when I bought it. At least the owner has good taste in vehicles!

Actually learning these special pricing plans will help everyone!

I have been looking for a used Lightning in RED. Getting some good responses finally. In the mean time I have hit 3 dealers armed with good information from this site such as "A" and "X" plan prices.
I have managed to get new 2002 Lightning pricing at 9% over "A" PLAN or about $28,000. That is $4500 under sticker.
The RED one at Kearney Mesa got away because two sales people wanted the commission.
So now i need to find a 2001 for about $24 or move on to another dealer for $28,000.

aplan is for Ford employees & some family members

xplan is for other family members & friends but can only be accessed through someone who works for Ford
