Went to the track today :)

I got back a little bit ago from the local 1/8 mile track. I met usahooters and several other guys, and we froze are buts off. There were 5 lightning there and all colors were represented but the track conditions were poor to day the least. The cold weather and lack of prep made feel like an ice skating rink.

My truck just turned 1200 miles on the way there, I was full weight (hitch spare, spare ECT ECT) with 3/4 tank of gas and my stealthy 270lbs so i was pretty heavy to say the least. My passes were all pretty much close together but my best was 8.400 @ 85.41 mph on the street side of the chip. The 60ft clocks were broken so I could not tell my 60ft but they felt bad 2.1 maybe 2.0 I would think. the track was horrible for traction.

I think with a better 60 ft the truck will go 8.20's and drop the hitch and spare it will go 8.10's add some race gas and flip the chip 7.90's!!!!!

I very happy with the truck overall other then the stupid knock I am now getting when its cold. The motor is quiet as hell when it warms up.

Anyway off to dinner!!!

Bob

Sounds good Bob,

8.40 is around a 13.15 to .25

if you get in the 7.90's your looking at a 12.40 or 50!!

Good job man!! I miss the track!!!

Your truck is moving. I think you were leaving as I got there? My 99' Red lighting ran a best of a 8.51@82.8Mph. The only thing that is done is it has Flowmaster mufflers.

Bob,

An 8.400 at 85.41 mph is flying...my best thus far is an 8.340 at 85.81 mph which netted me a 12.95. You should be in the low 13.0's to 12.9's with times like that...what do you mean your track wasn't prepped???
