Who makes the bars JDM sells?
I think that these would be pretty easy to make or have made by a machine shop.
All you need is a couple heim joints, some steel rods threaded for the heim joints to screw into, and fab some stainless steel brackets. I bet you could even have it all powder coated for a total of way less than $500.
Just my $.02

I am here to learn and pass on info to others to help them, Like you use to be. I am just telling people that they are not simply Rancho bars, I know I would not want to read that thinking that I could buy off the shelf Rancho's and have them fit on my truck, just to find out that they don't.
If you had posted that they were Rancho's that Jim then modifies them to work on our trucks, I wouldn't have even posted.
I know you and Jim have differences and that is fine, but Just tell it as it is.
When people e-mail me or ask me something about Sal or JL, I tell them how it is straight, I have dealt with them both in the past and they were great to work with.
I just like to stick with one tuner and JDM has and is making my truck as fast as I want it to be, and is a great guy. Jim and the whole JDM staff feels like family when I talk with them or go down to visit, I will never switch to anyone else, and that is a promise, that is how happy I am with them. I decided when I put my truck up for the winter that I wanted it to be a 10 second truck and that is where it will be ( without useing the Juice) so I can't wait to see where I get when I decide to spray again.
You will never see me post anything negitive about any other tuner, and that is how it should be. Who anyone chooses is up to them.
All I ask is that people try to do the same, and if you like another tuner better, good for you. But just answer peoples posts if you choose, the right way, tell it how it is and don't try to make a joke out of a tuner everytime some one ask's a question about them.
And you need to relax a bit when it comes to JDM, it is all in the past Spiro, let it go. For you and all of us.
Bill

Just for info, I really am not trying to start trouble, but I am trying to answer the question about the bars.
The bars that Jim has been selling were Rancho bars, they had to modify the front bracket and completely make the rear shackle mount in house. The new bars that JDM are selling are not Rancho's, the bars are bigger/ stronger and better than the modified Rancho's that he sold for a while. I hope this answers all your questions about his bars. I just talked to Jim to verify this before I posted it. So there you have it.
I am sure you can go to a machine shop and get a set of bars made for your truck, but for the people that want all of the R&D all ready done for them, and just want to order a set of bars, JDM is a choice for you.

I've seen alot of traction bars and I think the JDM set is the best. I think anyone who buys them won't regret it. Although the price is a bit expensive, I think it's well worth it.

Dennis,
You can ride with me anytime.
Hey the way I look at it is if you have to ask how much it cost, then you can't afford it.
Or maybe better put if you don't want to spend that much you don't have too. It is all bussiness, if the demand is there then you get what you feel is the right price for the item. If someone buy's it then it was worth it to them, if they buy a cheaper similar product then you get what you pay for.
And that is the bottom line.

Bill,
Do you have any problems with the JDM traction bars and your Bassani cat-back? I figured since you have the 3/4 drop you would have more of an issue than I would if I opt for the 1/2 drop.
Thanks in advance,
Dan

Dan,
I have no problems with the bars, Jim and Shawn adjusted my exhaust a little durring the install. They just had to loosen the clamps on the exhaust and move the exhaust slightly.

Depends on weather or not you want to get the parts your self and build your own kit or not now doesnt it? Not all of us have the time or the facilities to do our own work, If YOU do, more power to ya.
ASVTFordBoy,
No one is telling you or anyone else to buy them, there was a question asked and it was answered. Plain and simple, If you don't like them buy something else, no need to put someones products down.
I don't know if it is jealousy or what, but there is always someone there to talk trash about JDM. I think it may be that you are just kicking yourselves for not making the best choice in the begining and now you would look like an idiot to switch after all the crap you say. Oh well, maybe you will learn from your mistakes someday.
JDM makes and sells top quality items, dare I say top period.
Let the timeslips talk for themselves.
We don't always have to try in make everything a tuner war do we? Let me see, we don't see JDM's customers always putting down other tuners mods, so why do you do it to us? I guess JDM has the best products and the best customers period.
