Dusted Dodge...
I was just out getting lunch not 15 minutes ago when, patiently, I was waiting at a stop light an a Dodge R/T pulls up next to me. He revs his engine a little and it sounded ridiculous, I actually looked at him and laughed...it sounded like he really put a ricer exhaust on the thing because it sounded like a souped up Honda. Anyway, light goes green and.....a couple seconds later I'm wondering how he likes the view of my taillights. Question is though, how fast are these Dodge R/T's? I'm just curious about their engine and stuff....

Your thread reminds me of a night at SDR 1/4 mile track a few months back. I think mine was the only L there that night. 5 or 6 Dodges showed up-- a club, I guess? I think this was before I dropped into the12s, so I was probably runnin' low 13s.
I pulled up next to a silver R/T Crew Cab(new?). I got out and looked at his eng. and a few of the others that were nearby. Open air intakes, colorful wires, headders, very big exhaust pipe, etc. and a red 'carbor-fiber' dash inlay were showin' everywhere. I think they have a 318ci eng. I started to compliment their trucks but they were only interested in talkin' to each other(I hope the Georgia & Alabama L. owners comin' over to SDR the 26th of Jan., don't do the same thing.).
Well, I get back in my L and wait for our lanes to start rollin' forward. A women comes over to the R/T owner, hugs him and says "you do know you're gonna' get spanked ?" We staged a few mins. later.....and he did get spanked..it wasn't even close--a 13 to his 15, I think?

HI!... Around here the stock DAKOTA R/T's are a JOKE! The EC R/T's go about 16.10 - 15.8 stock and the reg-cabs go about 15.40 - 15.60's. The fastest bone stock reg-cab R/T, that I've seen ran a 15.38e.t.

All I have to say is, I hung in there with an R/T in my V6 Accord OK.....and my best time ever was a 15.78!!!
250hp out of a 5.9 is deplorable.............They really need to do something about this truck..........It's real nice, and sounds even better, but they are really lacking power!!!
