line mod valve require chip reburn?

Does the line mod valve require a re-burn of the chip as well. I wouldn't think so but someone was telling me that it did? Thanks, Jeff

I don't think it is required but I would fecomend it.

I have a line mod and two chips, one chip is burned for the line mod, the other chip is not burned for the mod.

The older chip shifts a little firmer than the one burned for the line mod, but it isn't to bad.

the only reason people say a reburn is required is because most people dont like the amount of "firmness" they get with the increased pressure from the chip and the increased pressure from the line mod. its up to you. without a reburn, i would imgaine your shifts would be too much for daily driving. plus, its probly bad for the tranny without a reburn.

If you get the chip reburned for some other reason, do that at the same time, but I wouldn't reburn it just for that.
