Oregon mod install day.
Oregon mod install day.
Anyone in the area that wants to come by this Saturday to check out the mod extravaganza. FlashSVT, myself, and Eric (01), will be doing various mod installs at my house this Saturday. Planned so far: Electric fan, cobra water pump, 4 pound lower, drop shackles, chip and pulley for Eric. Unfortunately all these toys aren't for me. Buzz me if you want directions. Probably start around 10am.
FlashSVT bring your camera. I want a photo of the 3 silver L's in my driveway.

Oh sure, don't tell me until it's too late... I see how it is...
Have fun guys, I'm running the sound board at a friends wedding today. I wanna see pics though!
PS: Who got what mods?

That would have been cool I need to put my x-mas goodies on(#4 pulley, Diablo Chip, Air Intake System). It would have been worth the drive. If your ever in the seattle area let me know, we need a few more Lightnings cruising around this area. Its crawling with Rice Burners
Turned out to be only a partial mod day. The electric fans have to wait until next weekend. Minor glitch.
FlashSVT got a new chip, 4-pound pulley, new plugs, and drop shackles.
Eric got his very first mods. Chip and a 4-pound pulley. Plugs to be installed soon.
Silver-Bolt got his hands dirty.
Fun day. Keep you posted on the next mod day.

Yep Gator it was a site to behold. Two 01's and my tired old 00, and my wife's silver 330i BMW. Not enough room in the driveway so we moved to a near by park for pics. Flash should be posting later. Did have lots of funny looks from the neighbors
Wrap Up:
I put in my new JDM Chip on the way to Silver-Bolt's house. It still will take some key cycles for everything to re-learn.
First, Bill and I installed the Belltech 2" Shackles. It took 30 min to install. 15 of those minutes were spent finding wood blocks so we could get the rear WAY up in the air. =)
Next, the JDM 4# pulley replaced the JDM 2# pulley. I can't say enough in regards to how well these pulleys are made and how well thought out the install jig is built. I, personally, love keeping the stock crankshaft extension bracket.
Silver-Bolt installed Eric's JL Chip and JL 4# Pulley while I installed new NGK TR6 plugs. Easy plug change. Only took 1 1/2 hours my first time. Having changed 50+ sets of plugs on LT1 and LS1 cars make the 5.4L look simple. That and as Silver-Bolt would say, "I have Gumby arms"
Here are a few pics of the three Silver Ls and the pulleys.

Cool deal and some good pics too! Hope you guys had fun! Better watch out, Flash, or those 'gumby arms' are gonna install some of those iridium plugs for me.
I'm still recovering financially from the holiday season, and from this upcoming week's short vacation to San Francisco. Next mods up for me is new exhaust and plugs, but I'll be thinking about speakers too.
In case you were curious, the sound at the wedding went pretty darn well yesterday, if I do say so myself.
See ya guys around!
