Question Aftermarket Mirrors

Does anyone make an after market replacement for the big old mirrors on the L. The stock mirrors are too big and not arodynamic (spelling???). I have seen the SS mirrors and they look alittle too small. Are there any other mirrors out there???

Yeah.

Yeah...know what ya mean 11secL when I go past 185mph on the freeway the mirrors start wind turbulance that blows me all around....hehehe....sorry..had to say that. Guess I'm showing my old age (28) but i like the mirrors..so i can see those Camaro's trying to catch up LOL.

I see some nice ones on 4apc.net but I am not sure if they make them to fit the L/f150. I know they make pretty cheap quality stuff but as long as it can hold up to the super hard 140+ mph wind comming at them I don't think that will be a problem.

Here is a pic of the street scene mirror next to the factory job. The quality is lacking. The street scene ones are lighter by probably 1-2 lbs each. The factory also has the feature where if the mirror is struck it folds in the aftermarket street scene ones don't. You'll have to have the street scene ones painted. The street scene ones have the same wiring harness that the stock ones have so no splicing. Other than that they look 100% better and you'll have less wind resistance with the smaller mirrors.

I think the SS mirrors look too small for the L though. I was looking for something a little in the middle but kinda fancy looking. As posted before, kinda like the ones that apc sells. Are there any other electric mirrors for the f150/L.

heres my truck with the power street scene mirrors..
they take some getting used to since they are smaller.
the motor in them isnt very good, but once you get them set they are fine.
