SS was reeling him in at the end but had to get out of it because of traffic. These things are beasts at the bottom end!

 

wow that was a great vid! that SS was on his butt the whole time! kinda reminds me of grand turismo 3 for PS2. i had one of those and my bro had a Z06 vette. he had more hp than me but i was on his butt the whole time. of course....you know....i had a red car. LOL

 

The SS only started to make up ground after he shifted into third. The Lightning would have got walked if the race lasted a couple seconds longer.

I am waiting to hear what his mods are from original poster on the corral. I did not hear any blower whine my truck has thats for sure.

Bob that was Tundra in his stock 99 L. Unless you consider straight pipes a performance mod, I think Tundra could have held him back by the 1/4.

Way to go tundra, I am not sure about the 1/4 mile thing. The SS was getting wound up it seems.

Either way it kills me everytime I see a Lightning hand some camaro / vette / cobra / whatever its *** on a stick. I drive mine knowing this 5000lb boemoth (sp) will stomp the guts out of nearly 98% of the "Perfromance Cars" on the road. It is a very cool experience.
