Thunder to be made in 03

According to blue oval news the expidition with the L drivetrain will be built in 03. If they are building this you can bet they will be building the L for 03 and probably 04.

Thumbs down

That's just great, all we need is the "soccer moms" of the world talking on cell phones, loaded up with kids, driving these things with even more power under their foot. Stupid move to market a product of this nature in my opinion.

Instead of messing with the soccer moms transportation, how bout you, FORD, give us what we really want......More power for the Lightnings! You know, interchangable parts so the owners of the 99/01 could step up to the plate

Is it just me or do most car companys seem to carry through on projects that just dont seem like a good idea. Like
Peter B said do we really need those land boats with more power headed by a soccor mom on a cell phone. I know i already almost get hit at least once a day by this kind of person. May they shold put those backup sensors on the sides of the car so the person driving while talking on a cell phone would know when there about to flatten the person next to them while there changing lanes.

Please don't "assume" that all mothers, moms, SUV drivers, etc, etc, are "soccer moms."

Frankly, I think the Thunder is a great idea. The ability to carry more people, and cargo in a locked cargo area is very appealing. The truck is heavier, so it will not be as fast as an L, so why worry about it. It will truly be perfect if it is AWD.

Some of us have SUV's that we 4wheel heavily. Some of us are looking at another SUV to have something fun that has AWD and holds more than 2 comfortably. Some of us can actually drive. Some of us do not like to be systematically catagorized as something we are not. Some of us do not talk on cell phones while driving. Some of us have almost been hit by stupid male drivers on cell phones also.

I swear, some of the people on here just don't want anyone to have any fun at all. This, "I have my L and noone else should have any fun at all" mentality is silly. Think about it, the more these engines are out there, the more and better aftermarket parts we will get.

Geez, you guys are talking like they are thinking of doing an SVT Windstar.

Just the opinion of a soon to be systematically catagorized "soccer mom." (baby due in 2 months).
