Actually, consider yourself somewhat lucky. Here in the Washington DC area, we have had at least three people killed in the past couple of years when they hit a deer. Deer came through the windshield.

I see dead deer on the side of the road about once week around here, and I do not drive that many roads.

This is a bad time of year. Deer are starting their mating season. Also, less green stuff to eat in winter causes them to forage further afield. I live and work in the suburbs, and I see herds of deer at work, and in my and the neighbor's yards.

In PA. something like an average of 40,000 deer a year are hit buy cars and trucks. And, this is an old statistic.

Can you imagine what would of happened if you had been driving something small like a Honda Civic?

Sorry to see that. Like someone said before, it could've been alot worse. If you don't mind the drive to Decatur, my cousin paints at Lou Sobh Ford and will put a great refinish on there. Just let me know and I'll tell him to look for you
