Worked on the console conversion and gauge mounting today (pics)

Well it came out great so far, I still have to permanatly mount the console and run the senders for the oil pressure and egt gauges.

I ordered an 02 expedition console insert that has the slot for a/c control panel and after a little fabrication and some of fords interior paint I ended up with a trick setup I think. Then off to the trim shop to fab up the seat.

Any opinions?????

Bob

Bob T,
Very very nice. Looks great.
Two questions, one dumb. When you say have the seat fabbed up, do mean have the passenger split bench converted to a seat? Also, what is the paint number that you used to paint the pillar guage pod?

Thanks Man

The bench seat has to be cut down into a bucket like the drivers side, you have to purchase some parts from ford to do it correctly.

part #'s

F65Z-1561709-CAJ SUPPORT ASSY.
YL3Z-1563100-BB SPG ASSY.
YL3Z-15603A86-BAA HANDLE ASSY.

The interior paint # from ford is :

M4JZ-19M547-4245-H

The seat requires a new base and some other little parts listed above. You or a trim shop (preffered) have to cut down the seat to fit the new base and walla you now have a bucket seat.

I take no credit for this mod - I learned about it from this message board

Doug -

I know have :

Boost
Fuel pressure
Water Tempature
Oil Pressure
EGT

The break down on the gauges is as follows :

Boost Set $232.00
(includes contoller for all gauges)
Fuel Pressure $210.00
Water Temp $150.00
EGT $210.00
Oil Pessure $210.00
Pod and paint $100.00
misc (taps ect) $50.00

When all is said and done I will be out about $1200.00
What you need to understand is that these gauges are precision instruments that are very acurate and well worth the $$$$$. They are IMHO the best gauges currently made BAR NONE

And besides they look killer at nite

I would be glad to do up a FAQ for the site, give me a few days.

Bob

You may have gotten ideas from this board but you added your own and executed the project. Look's fantastic and I wouldn't be so humble about it!
