I assume that was one of Les Shockley's Shock Waves? Any idea of e.t. and trap speed? Its pretty amazing to watch one of those things pass an airplane at 300 mph. Just goes to show that with enough money you can make anything go fast. Last time at Irwindale there was someone racing a Kenworth tractor. Brought it in on a trailer behind another Kenworth. Don't know what he had in it (I assume a lot of propane) but he was outrunning me due to my lack of traction. Hope he shows up again next time I go because with my new JDM bars and 555Rs I will dust his a$$.

I got to see that truck live at Mopar Parts World Nationals in Norwalk last summer@ an IHRA event. Pretty amazing.......but I'd still rather experience TF racing anyday. There is nothing like standing at the lights and feeling 12,000hp pull away from you
For the best sound tho.......I'd have to go with those 800+ cubic inch door slammers in Pro Stock.......OK I'll stop I am just rambling.

Oh BTW........those movies from The Learning Channel are awesome!!!!!!
Torque i know is a measure of turning force ( well basically ) but horsepower,, now thats a totally different story
They travel down to a ranch in texas and count how many times faster your truck is then the fastest horse there,, in other words, they would have to stick 12.000 horses or 36.000 horses running on treadmills inside of that truck to make it go equally as fast.
it also took a thousand stuffed monkeys typing on a thousand typewriters over a year to come up with that answer,,,,
errrrrr,, i better stop before i confuse myself.
