Talking Layed the SMACK DOWN on a new GT

I was cruisin' along the interstate headed towards the mall (christmas shopping -ugh) with my GF when this young guy in a new GT pulls up beside me and paces me at about 55mph (55mph zone in this section). He then nails it and pulls off. I could hear the exhaust so I know he wasn't stock. Also, sounded like he had gears due to the ramp-up time. No biggy to me. I look ahead and he slips over into the turn lane I was gonna take. Hehe, I couldn't resist. It's a circle entrance onto a six lane highway. I make up distance quickly and upon exiting I move over and he gets blocked in. I slip over to the middle lane and run with the existing two cars in the right hand lane. I see him in the mirror, he drops down and swings out the left hand lane to try to sling shot past me except I took outt my knife and cut his rubber band. I drop the hammer at about 40mph and immediatly evened it out and start pulling ahead. The truck shifts to third and I say out loud "Buh-bye" and start walking again. I get to about 90mph and shut it down due to traffic WAY UP AHEAD and I didn't want to chance anything. My GF was still clinching the OH SHEIT handle and shaking her head. That's when I said to myself, "It must SUCK to get beat by a TRUCK."

As a side note, this is the first race on the highway for me for a LOOOOOOOOOONG time. I'm good for quite awhile now.

Reminds me of the evening I had raced a 2001 Cobra. I was in line at the Taco Bell drive thru, and I see a mustang behind me, and he starts revving, and I figure its just a GT, and leave it at that. Well he keeps up with being annoying, so I figure Ill get my order and go real slow out so he has time to get his order as well and figure we will meet on the road. Sure enough, I pull onto the main road and 10 seconds I see flashing lights behind me, it was him. I turn down a desolate 2 lane road and wait for him to approach, keeping my speed at 35. As he pulls up I see the Cobra emblems and I smiled, knowing this was going to be fun. We exchanged nods, and I let him get on it first, when I hear him hit it I punch my throttle and pop down into first and immediately put a car length or better on him, at 70 I let off with him 3 car lengths behind me and not gaining. I let him catch up and for losing, he was really happy with a big grin from ear to ear. I gave him a thumbs up, and he gives it back and we go on our merry way.
