Lightning Audio

I got friend who wants to give me an amp out of a mustang with the mach 460 sound system. My question is will this work? Also how would i install it?

i don't believe that they have the same inputs and outputs as an amp that you could pick up from a store. that and the amps that ford uses are chitty. if you have the kenwood deck get one of the kenwood amps. you could pick one up for a couple of hundred.

if you need help installing aftermarket amp i would be more than happy to help. also are your ventshades the ones that fit in the window seals, or are they the ones that stick to the outside of the truck? if they are the ones that fit in the seals.....where did you get them and how much....i can't find them anywhere here in S. Florida.

i totally agree, the mach 460 sound system from ford is overrated, and severly underpowered. save yourself the trouble. best thing to do would be to find some car stereo forums to post on,, many people including me in the past have bought nice systems for a car which can fit the extra subs/etc in it, then turned their car in for a lightning, which has hardly the room for a lot of it, ended selling all my top line stuff for about half of what i paid for it, didn't mind either, hate having older stuff lying around that'll never fit in my L.
