If you want to talk the talk you have to walk the walk, it seems to me there is only one tuner willing to walk the walk. I have not purchased any products from JDM but I have to respect his outgoing approach on Let's Get it On. If this is a stupid game why even race anyone, its all about competition and it seems to me PSP just lost the edge.

We all heard your story a thousand times and frankly were sick of it, I don't know either one of you. But if I had to base my opinion afte reading your crap a 1000 times, I would distance myself from you.

Terry, I'm not into "let's get it on". I definately admire Jims agressive approach in that manner, but that's not me. I don't do stuff to our truck to beat out other vendors. I do stuff to develop new tuning and products to make available to my customers. I'm not in a race to be the fastest guy out there. I'm just doing what I do, and if I'm the fastest guy that week, that's a little extra on top. I didn't loose any kind of "edge" and if you re-read that post, I didn't discredit Jims run in any way, I backed it up as truth since I was there and saw it. I saw that thread getting ugly and I tried to explain why I thought people always make false accusations towards how Jims truck runs, to try to cool everyone down, instead of it getting uglier. Of course it didn't work, and I may have made it worse, but if you read my initial posts, you can see that I was not trying bash Jims runs.

 

Well, after reading the other thread all I can say is it's time to let it go. Nobody wins or looks good with this kind of thing.

 

i haven't gained or lost any respect for any of these tuners, just some thoughts on the matters though

for one to me at least it does not matter which tuner goes fastest and how he got there, congrats on everyone's times, but i think many L owners are out there that are like me, and not after the fastest times, but instead out there to get my truck to run the fastest,,, without the risk of hurting my engine, and sometimes even voiding my warrenty ( after all,, while costing around 1k to get the warrenty, thast my most expensive mod yet ) if a tuner out there could develope a chip solution that would not void a warrenty, or a solution to find a way to remove the pcm leaving no trace that the chip had ever been changed, i'd buy one instantly. With all these tuners constantly pushing the lines of the engine in different unique ways, wither its adding nos, or changing boost, pistons, rods, this gives me the knowledge i need to know what will currently push my truck too hard, and what will work for the performance i'm looking for.

oh yeah, and i know maybe he's not as personally involved in the matter, but one tuner i've noticed that has strayed away from all the mayhem posted here lately is Jonny Lighting Performance, although i'm sure everyone has their own issues on this board.

What we need is for everyone to get along.

Maybe when WhiteLightningSVTGirl finally gets married, all the tuners will finally realize that they never had a chance, and that being the fastest doesnt always net the Girl.


But its always fun to try!

 

What is that ole saying.....sumthing like....*You can't please all the people all the time* Iam kinds like whitetoast on this one, I don't try to be the fastest, because there is ALLWAYS somebody faster. Iam not going to throw money at every new mod that comes out, I rather throw money at a new truck every couple years. I'd rather have a quick 4700lb truck with mods that are somewhat "safe"! I don't believe there will be a warranty safe chip, Ford keeps a safety margin in the PCM and the tuners take that away, thats where the performancegains come from......just my .02's worth

Racing, like most other competetive events in life is cyclical. You can't judge anyone on one event. That's why sporting events play a set number of games, not just one. I am not pointing my finger at any particular tuner or person, except ademan.

First off, most of the tuners aren't in this to be the fastest. If they were they would just dump a bunch of money into their trucks and blow the rest away. Everyone knows the man who spends the most money on his truck will be the fastest and it doesn't have to be a tuner.

Secondly, there is more to being the fastest truck than just bolting on some parts. Tuners can either dump a bunch of "one off" or prototype parts on their truck and run faster than everyone else or they can put the parts on their trucks they offer their customers.

Thirdly, why are busting on others and worried about how fast everyone elses trucks are? How fast is yours?
