Wink

I think the list on who is trying to get into the 10's first is growing, I know I am on the list. I might not be the first since I live in Maine and it will be a while before New England Dragway opens back up, maybe I will have to bring my truck a little more south to be in the running.

GPSVT,
Your truck is beautiful, and I am sure that it goes as good as it looks.
My truck will be a 10 second truck fairly soon, It will be the wait of taking it to the track that will be killing me. My truck might not be the first truck into the tens but it will be among the few that get there.

How much hp do you recon it would take to dip into the 9's?

Well, I wish you the best of luck! Depending on circumstances, our trucks might be sitting side-by-side in the same garage some time this winter.

With the weight of these trucks it would have to be a ton of HP to go along with a ton of $$$$$$.

Sal is right there now at the ten second zone border line getting in with a few right behind him. He's got a real good truck with plenty of power and money into it (I would amagine) and I think he is running a 175 shot of nitrous. I would say that is the combo to run 10's and to run 9's it would have to be a lot more than that. I guess if a guy had endless money and resources he could get a gen 2 into the 9's, but I don't think that it would be all that streetable at that power level.

GPSVT,
I like to hear that, I am the type of guy that want's all lightning owners to run as fast as they can. I am pretty sure that when I get my truck back from Jim he will have made it a 10 second truck. I have all the confidence I could ever want in the abilities of Jim and the JDM crew. I hope the number of lightnings that break into the 10's isn't just a small select few, I would rather see a bunch break into the ten's and have both of our names in the 10 second club where the fastest Lightnings in the country will be.
If your truck is going to be in the garage next to mine you better get on the ball because my truck will be going down real, real soon and should only be there for a few weeks. I hope to see you at a track event sometime next year. Good luck also with your Quest for the 10's

Bill
