This isn't meant to throw any more logs on the fire but,

You can't compare an L to a Yukon. They are both trucks, and the similarity stops there. That being said, I'd like to draw a comparison that should be more apples to apples. My boss just bought a 2002 Tahoe. He traded in his 99 Tahoe. I would rate the seats in his 99 about on par with my Lariat seats. The Ford has a much better looking dash, door design, instrument panel, etc., than his 99 Tahoe. However, his 2002 Tahoe's seats blow away Ford's, period. If you don't believe me, drive them both for at least 4 hours, and you'll agree. Ford's seats in their 2002's aren't much better than my 99's. The Chevy seats have better leather, inflatable lumbar, & inflatable left & right lateral supports, 2 memory settings for position, & adjustable heating. I still like the Ford dash design & layout better, but those Chevy seats kick butt. And that's fine. I'll never buy a Chevy truck, but competition is a good thing, and it might just push Ford to design their seats better next time around.

Don't think we'll see this guy frequenting the boards after this BS claim.

A tahoe in the 13's? maybe, just MAYBE if it's a 2wd version, but anything else is crap.

Post your mods and some pics. That'd help out for the absence of time slips. My friend has a 650 hp Suburban that has trouble breaking into the 14's. Good luck with the tahoe...

I call BS

At the request of 99RedWV:

Has anyone ever compared the interiors of the new firebird/camaro's to mustangs? Personally the Chevy/GMC interiors are plasticy, look like they're gonna fal apart and do.

Red face

I rented a Yukon a few months ago, and I thought it was junk!! Way underpowered!! Everytime I hit a bump, the damn thing jittered all over the road like it was going to run into the closest ditch. The seats were flat and unsupportive. The steering wheel was three inches to the right of center. The stereo volume **** came off in my hand the first time I touched it. It felt very top heavy and nerve racking at speed, if you tried to do anything but go straight. The interior did look cheap, Is Chevy ever going to stop using that crappy looking deep grain vinyl plastic??? I had to drive that dumb thing all over Houston for a week, I was never SO glad to get back in my outdated F-150 interior. Well, except for the time I rented a mini-Blazer. It had a cowl shake so bad that you could feel it in the steering wheel.

I guess I'm a little Ford biased, what do you think?,,,,98

13's in a GM SUV?? Is it a 6:71 blown pro streeter???LOL!

Thumbs up

Forgot to mention my latest rental(two weeks starting on Sunday) It's a 2002 Ranger XLT 4x4, ext. cab. Very surprising little truck!!! Aside from whacking my head into the low roof the first time I got in, nothing bad to mention. I have to admit it rides and drives better than my 98 150, and the Yukon. BY FAR! The seats aren't the best, but pass the test. It has a great stereo for stock, too bad I left my CD's in Houston. It's underpowered, but I didn't expect an L I rent ALOT of cars each year, and this is the best vehicle of the lot so far. Big thumbs up for the Ranger. Okay, I'll shut up now, LMAO!,,,,98

Someone else mentioned - it's nice being able to rest your arm on the gearshift to change radio stations in a Chevy/GMC. The stock radio in the L truely sucks Even entry level cars have better sounding stereos. I can live with the rest of the inside. Not spectacular, but OK.

Not to mention that resting your hand on a shifter wears on your tranny after awhile,,,,98
