K&N Panel vs. Tuner Filter
K&N Panel vs. Tuner Filter
I know this has been covered before so I did a search. But I got over 6000 results and none of the 100 or so i looked at were what I was after.
Is a K&N panel fitler better than a open filter from a tuner? If i remember correctly there was a bigger increase with the panel filter than with the open filter in the 2001s. I know that the 99/00s resopnded better to an open filter than the 01s, right? Im pretty sure someone has done some dyno testin with stock setup, k&n panel setup, and open element setup. Can someone post a link to that thread or post the results here?
thanks
oh yeah
i also read that some people switch filter depending on temp. hotter, they go with the airbox and K&N, colder, they go with open filter. where i live, it rarely gets over 75º. so maybe the open filter would be better after all?????? what do you think

According to docs from Mopar performance, the best flowing filter is Wix high performance units. They not only out flow the K&N by a hair, they keep the air flowing straighter actually increasing the velocity.
