Bought a 99 Cobra in April of 1999... really was a joy until the issues began to surface; drivetrain after the flywheel just not fully sorted out at the factory. Traded for a 2k Lightning in April of 2000... -much- better, no issues, even the IC didn't leak. Hmmm but still, it was not the sweet handler the Cobra was... and stopping the critter in 100mph plus events was, well, thrilling. Throughout this time always out there lurked the forces of evil; beckoning, mesmerizing, offering the world for my soul. After fighting the good fight for so long finally I could not hold and Monday the Dark swept through my last resistance in victory when I traded the Lightning for a 2002 Z06 Corvette. Pray for the fallen, he cannot go back now... taken in the prime of life by forces beyond the pale. I am banished to a world that can only be understood by owning and driving the Z06. Those who may be tempted as I was beware, the force is strong and you will need the Good Luck I wish for you all now. I will always respect and honor the Cobra and the Lightning, still even now I remember the good times... Godspeed to everyone and Merry Christmas.

Believe me I was SO VERY close to trading mine in for an '02 Z06...still might...

 

Your not the only one who's thought about the Z06 also, but I couldn't bring myself to trade in the L. I would have to have BOTH

 

I wanted a Z06, but my parents said no, and now i would only want both also.

Congrats bro on your new toy. I wish I had the funds to trade my L for a 02 Z06. My friend just traded his 01 Z06 for a new black 2002 Z06. As he would say you can never have too much power.
