Your Bro. is not crazy., the WRX has tons of traction off the line, whereas the L does not. Now if your talking TRACK 0-60mph time the L has a slight advantage and should have the faster 0-60 time. Street and track racing are not equal. BTW Track 0-60 for the WRX is 6.1 and the L is 5.8 sec.

WRX is so not a straightline car anyway. It's feisty enough on 0-60 and 1/4, and a L will need to break a bit of sweat to put the 4 banger in its place. But if the situations were reversed and a L had to go rallying, well... 
WRX can come visit L's playground and put out a decent effort. L probably couldn't do the same in WRX's natural playground. But who'd want to get the paint dirtied up anyway?
