6.0 is in one 1/2 ton GM P/Up...

The GMC C3 Denali is a 1/2 ton AWD Extended Cab Pickup with the 6.0, but it runs mid 15's in the 1/4. The only other GM 1/2 tons with the 6.0 are SUV's, the 2 Denalis & the Escalade. As far as the 8.1 with the Allison goes, this would not be my choice for a high performance truck. The LS1, or LS6 as found in the Z06 would be my choice & the B/W 6 speed. Add a blower to the 350 HP LS1, drop it in a 1/2 ton stepside & you have a real world Lightning fighter. It should top 425 HP & 500 Foot/Lbs. But for now the L is king, by a long shot.

But you guys aren't thinking long term, If Chevy did make a sport truck that had about 395 hp and 440 ft lbs. and with a sticker of about 30,500 then that would make Ford come up with an L that had 405 hp and 450 ft lbs and have about the same price. I know some of you get the X plan pricing but here in Az no dealer will work that out.

Competition would hopefully be good for the consumer, maybe ford would have a factory option of a bassani cat-back and chip-filter from one of the reputable tuners. All covered under factory warranty. Now wouldn't that be nice.

But we can only dream
