I may have passed you again the other day (90% sure). I stayed at the Marriot in Agoura Hills (off Reyes Adobe) on Sunday night and again on Thursday night. Friday morning, a new Silver (2002?) passed me on Reyes Adobe over the freeway. Little did he/she know that a cop was following them.

A few weeks ago when I had driven down to LA in my Lightning, I pulled out of project's "compound" (Century City) and a Gen1 exited in front of me. Of course, he lit up the tires. I would have followed but one car prevented it.

The coordination on the project is far enough along so I can move on to other ones (I've already started on a new project in Northern California on the weekends and a few evenings). Thus, next week will be my last week working in LA. It's going to be weird working close to home, driving my own car and not sleeping in hotel.

I may drive the Lightning down to LA but haven't yet decided. If anyone wants to get together, it would be fun. There are already several "parties" arranged so why not have more!

BTW, the rake on my truck isn't quite like George's. I guess my extra set of tires doesn't help but it adds weight to the rear!

hmmmmmm, I was referring to the "lurker" who lives in S.B. The one who went to the Elephant Bar with us, George. He has a white L. Is there another lurker with a black one?

 

White, black, what's the difference? Same CVHS guy (believe it or not, I grew up just around the corner from him). It's hard to remember since he wasn't driving it and for some reason, every Lightning I've seen pictures of that has a Roush suspension is black. I guess it works on differents colors as well!

BTW, tonight a red Lightning blew by me on the 405 north and exited at the LAX offramp (I was driving the speed limit). Dude you're lucky. A CHP motorbike was very close behind and if you hadn't gotton off the freeway so quickly...

 

Just thought I'd revive an old topic...

Last week, I was in San Juan Capistrano and met a older gentleman and his wife at El Patio (Mexican Restaurant). He own a beautifully kept 2000 Red Lightning. He doesn't do the online thing, but either way, nice guy.

On Sunday, my wife noticed a 2000 Red Lightning with chrome wheels headed north on I5 in Santa Clarita.

Flying ****, there are a few "organized" Lightning meets going on. I know there is a group that meets every second and fourth Thursday of the month out at Route 66 in Santa Clarita. (For more info go to F150world.com)

And then I usually stop by Flames Restaurant in Northridge every Friday nights at 8 to see who's there.

I was thought about posting something so that a few of us could get together, but last minute, my plans changed and I didn't know whether or not I'd drive down or fly and I wasn't sure which day either. Then, I was given great tickets to the Giants/Padres game (fantastic game last week - Giants tied it up in the 9th and won it in the 14th). So, I didnt' leave the bay area until Wednesday evening.

The next time I go down will probably be for a SoCal SVTOA event at California Speedway.
