Questions

I'm pondering some interior mods...and im looking for some feedback from you guys...

im thinking of throwing twin intercooler fans onboard and have them switch actuated for the track...im going to remove the garage door opener section of the overhead panel and add a flush mount switch setup for the fans...the electric exhaust dumps...etc. and the lid will still close to cover it...im a commercial pilot...so i guess i cant get enough of the overhead panel action. i may remove the sunglass holder and add some digital gauages for Trans. temp, water temp, and secondary boost.

hey dan
sounds like your interior is goin look pretty trick when your done. but i would like to hear more about the electric exhaust dumps you have. i assume an exhuast dump is the same thing as a cutout, sort of like a y pipe thing that "dumps" the exhuast before the mufflers? i was looking into these and found 2 different ones. one i didnt like because you had to go under the truck to unscrew the cover, and the other one that had a push/pull line coming from it that mounted in the cab to open and close the dumps kinda like a throttle body was too small for our pipes. where do you get the electric dumps? how much? they are 2-1/2 inch right? how hard are they to wire after you get them welded in? if you are talking about something totally different when you say exhaust dumps, disregard those questions.

thanks for your help
joe

btw
welcome to the boards

You might want to move the gauges closer to the steering wheel or somewhere that you wont have to look up and away (takes your eyes off the road). Temp guages will be ok, I guess, but the boost guage you probably need closer. IMHO
