Joe,

I wouldn't do the octane boost. It will wreck a lot of parts rather quickly - plugs, cats, sensors, etc.

If you need to increase the octane, mix in some higher unleaded (some 76 stations in CA carry 100 octane), but this isn't a permanent solution.

J15big alot of people dont like to use octane boosters, damages spark plugs or something. You could add a few gallons of 103 to every tank, but at $5 a gallon that gets expensive.

i dont think theres any place near here, i live in foster city. plus id rather use normal gas. i guess ill just have to figure out something with sal before i buy the chip.

All tuners have a 91 or west coast program. Just dont expect to be running east coast times.

what about on the race side of the chip? is that any different from the race program on the east coast?

I have a diablo chip from JL & although I had to reburn a few times b/c of shifting, the L never had any detonation problems.
Unless JL noticed my address & programmed the chip for cali 91 gas, I never mentioned this to him.
