Looks like it is a monoblock amp. I think you would need a 2 channel amp for 2 speakers.

With the JL 500/1 monoblock amp, I run two JL 10w3d4 subs.

Can you run two off a monoblock? I would love to add a second 10" Infinity Kappa Perfect in my little truck, but have a Apline monoblock amp.

if your running 2 jl 10w3's you'll probably need more power,, check the max power rating of the subs on their online sight,, you'll need a 2 channel amp. Look at the rms ratings too,, peek wattage doesn't mean jack.

you can run as many subs as you want off a monoblock. just wire the subs together inside the box. i personally have 2 JL 10W3D6's in my truck run off of a JL 500/1.

heres a link that shows you how to wire all three types of W3's(D2,D4,D6) and it gives you the impedence presented(page2 for D2 subs, page4 for D4, and page6 for D6):
http://www.jlaudio.com/subwoofers/pd...10W3Normal.pdf

i recommend 2 10W3D2's and wire them so they present a 2ohm load. this way, you will get max performance from your amp(the rockford) without overhearting it. overheating is caused by going lower than the minimum impedence for a certain amp, i think. overheating can also be caused by poor ventilation. anyway, i could go on for days about what you should and shouldnt do so im goin to stop now.

anymore questions just ask
joe

Woh there fellas. That amp will work great if your subs have dual 2 ohm coils (d2). Check out the wiring faq on jl's site. You would parallel the coils on each sub then parallel the subs together. You DO NOT need a 2 channel amp. Also, max wattages are typically marketing crap. It is best to go by RMS ratings.

i'd still go with a 2 channel amp in order to wire it to the speakers ,,, stock speakers on these L's suck

plus if you ask me, 2 jl10w0's are more then powerful enough to shake everything loose in the truck, plus they are cheaper. its not that big of a truck cab, plus you can run up to 160 rms to each one @4ohms no problem
