Just a few interesting items my buddy and I noticed between our 2001 Lightnings.

Check it Out

Any other differences you have heard or seen post them on this thread.

As my buddy and I find more I'll try to post pics on the above webpage.

Interesting.. hehe. Mine has the SVT frame sticker, and SVT on the supercharger. No other L's to compare it to around here though, I have only seen one near where I live besides mine.. and I've never seen it again

Mine says Eaton, and no sticker.
Your budies must be a earlier production Lightning, just like mine.

Check to see if his says SVT on the leaf springs, and on the Lower control arms.

Who is your friend, does he post here?

I've been very curious about that "Frame Sticker" ever since I saw the first one a while ago. My understanding was that SVT stickers only went on uniquely SVT parts and that the frame was a shared component.

Now if I could be so bold as to ask one more time about vibration; anybody with that "Frame Sticker" got the 65 mph shakes? I'm very curious.

Don C, we have L's built on the same day, and I know that we've had similar vibration issues. Anybody care to join in?

Hey Tim,
I have gotten 99% of my vibrations out

I plan to look under the truck this week and check out what Sal said the other day. If that gets rid of the 1% I will let you know.

Also my truck is heading to Jim's shop in a few weeks for some more mods, maybee one of them might help too.

Talk to you later
Don C

By the way it is snowing here in Ma.

I have the sticker, and the only vibrations i get are from the exhaust pipes. I wonder if they are not connected well enough???

The frames for the SVTs are different and the stickers are for identifcation purposes only. Mine was built on June 4 as well and has the sticker. The blowers had a running change throughout the 2001 year ( who knows why?) and that is the only difference I could see between the two.BTW I think June 4 was a good day for the Ls because mine runs really good and the body panels line up very good as well.Hey, when Cayuga is finished maybe we can get together for a few passes down the strip?

the doctor,

I am curious, what exactly makes them different from the other frames? Like say from a frame for a regular cab/flareside truck.
