Not All 01 L's created equal
Mine didn't have the SVT sticker on the control arm until Ford replaced both. Now, mine has the sticker but with this bonus:
Both stickers have my name on them and I have fun with it whenever I can. One time a shop getting an alignment, the mechanic asked how limited the production was. I told him that it was soooo limited that they only build one after you pay for it and several parts are will have your name printed on them. He didn't believe me until I showed him both SVT labeled control arms with my name.

Im suprised nobody posted this one yet, as its very interesting....My buddy's L (J15BIG) has the "eaton" blower and no SVT sticker, I have the sticker and the SVT blower...heres the interesting part though....Our two steering wheels feel ENTIRELY different and are made from different material...wondering if anyone else noticed this?? Im curious to see what other differences the two trucks have...i was playin around with my truck last night on the wet streets and i was crusing at about 30mph....punched the throttle and the truck went sideways
...i love playin with this truck!

Mine has the SVT sticker on frame and also has the SVT on blower cover. No vibration issues at all. In fact this thing rides soooo smooth and quiet, you sometimes forget your driving a truck!
I met NEEDFOURSPEED at Ennis for FFW in October and he had an 01 like mine, same color, everything! But, his rear cargo light was the old 99-00 style! He didnt even notice until we pointed it out to him! I think they run short on parts at times and make due with whats on hand.
This truck is also put together well, I have no rattles, squeeks, pops, or any of those things that are a given with GM vehicles.

I'd have to say that I think the frame is a thicker guage steel than the regular frame. The control arms are different as well so I would again guess that the positioning of the mounting holes for the arms are different. Can't be 100% with these though, I can try to find out.
It's Me
From Don's Bolt:
The red one belongs to me. #3031, built April 20, 2001.
I drove Builtfordfast's one Saturday night in early October after he had just picked it up. Monday morning, after taking the day off work, I was at the dealership making a deal. Took Tuesday off work as well and picked it up. All that from a 5 minute test drive. Dont miss that 2000 Suburban LT AT ALL!!
Who is your friend, does he post here?
