Bassani is on with new tips!!!! Impressions.

After the disaster I had last week >>>>>

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hlight=bassani

I got my new tips last night and took the truck down to the muffler shop and they installed (welded) it with the new tips.
When I left the shop I waited for it to wam up before I got on it and to tell you the truth I was not all that impressed....

BUT

On the way home tonight (15miles or so) the system seamed to get a litttle throatier and louder as I went, as I neared the house I pulled over and let the traffic clear so I could let it all hang out. The truck actually barked second gear for the first time!!!! :)

All i can say is this thing sounds mean as hell, with some long tubes it will really rock but for know I am totally satisfied!!!!!

The other thing is that it smells horrible, does anybody now how long it will be before that crap inside the mufflers burns out and stop stinking?????

Bob

It took a couple of weeks for the smell to go away on mine. My truck is a part time driver, though.

Bob Tompkins- It must be nice living in Pensacola. We go through there every year on our way to Destin for vacation. We'd love to move there, but damn, everything is so expensive! I may try to look you up this year to hear that Bassani. I want one of those systems on mine, just takes $$$! :o

Mine took 2-3 weeks to rid the smell. Bassani's are hands down the best sounding.

Pensacola is a very nice place to live and its real cheap to live well here, if you have a good job and make anything over ~30k you can live good.

I have a 2000 sq ft house (3br 2bath) with a 400sq ft garage, a inground, heated, and enclosed pool with jacuzzi and a good bit lawn. I also live 150 feet from the gulf of mexico. The house is fairly new (1996) and the whole deal only cost me $130K witch works out to about 1k a month.

The area is almost crime free, i have never had a problem with anything at all. The taxes are cheap also. I have lived almost all my life in upstate ny and then 5 years in pembroke pines in south florida. This is by far the best all around place i have ever lived in.

The key is to get a good paying job and you will do well here.

Bob
