I am slow...had my '02 for almost 4 months now and just noticed there is no "low fuel" warning on the dash.....Thought this was a standard feature on all F-150's, Expeditions, etc.... ... was this deleted from the Lightning dash for some reason?

 

Is 02' a type O? They are due out mid Dec. They have a low fuel light standard. You can search posts for the diagnostic test mode and read the fuel sender output. The low fuel comes on at like 40 or so??? empty marker is like 21 I am not sure. Also on the built in diagnostic the first few steps are gauge and bulb test. Hold the odometer button and turn the key on then let go after a few seconds then push the button to cycle through test modes one will say bulb that will illuminate the bulb if it is good.

 

Hey do a quick bulb check by pressing your odometer/trip meter reset button and holding for 4 or 5 seconds. Then cycle it to bulb check. they all should light up. By the way 2002 L's dont come out for awhile. FYI.

 

I read on NLOC that someone picked up their '02 last week. That is the first I've heard of on the boards.

 

Yes, I meant on my '01. Thanks for the recommendation. I put almost 23 gallons this morning, so the needle was almost horizontal, but no warning light....
