neep opinions

To make a long story as short as possible.
I have now called Ford 3 times in regards to the recall. I have not gotten any satisfaction from them.
The first call went well, everything was set in motion. I was told to contact the dealership if I hadn't heard from them in a week. I did, they said the parts were wrong. So I asked them "now what". They said I had to call to reorder the parts, the dealer's parts people wouldn't.
So I did. This time the lady I spoke to wasn't as helpful, she told me the dealer should order the parts again. But she would try. Again another week went by and haven't heard. Called both again.....Ford says there is nothing that they can do, as there is a call in on my vin (NO DUH!!!!!!), and that since it's been 3 weeks now, that the truck is considered repaired! WHAT!

this is what I plan on doing, I am going to order the kit XL3Z-9424-AB (correct number?), and do it myself and back bill Ford on this with a long unhappy letter. (The dealer our shop orders parts from should be able to get it for me, they are great for parts, not so great for service.)

What's the chances of actually getting reimbursed from Ford on this?

Slim to none. After my first intercooler went (dealer repair), the other THREE were replaced by me, mainly so I would not have to deal with those type of headaches.
