Question What do you Run??

I am installing a triple gauge pod in the bolt, and was wanting some insight on whether to run a electric or mechanical fuel pressure gauge. What are the advantages or disadvantages of ea?

Andy.

If it's inside the cabin you need an isolator for the mechanical gauge. I've always been a fan of mechanical gauges but I've always had my mechanical fuel pressure gauge outside on the hood.

I have been using mechanical guages for several reasons:
1) Supposedly they are more accurate than electrical, although this may not be entilely true.
2) The mechanical guages have a bigger sweep than the electrical, which I personally like better.
3) The mechanical guages give readings even when the power is not on. Thus when you are in the pits, you can keep an eye on the water temp guage, etc, without turning the ignition on.

However, I will add a fuel pressure guage soon. It will be electrical since I want it inside the cab.

Smile Fuel pressure gauge

I have the electronic fuel pressure gauge because I did not want to mount the gauge outside my truck. I think Spiro had a mechanical fuel pressure gauge outside his L.

Yes I did, and I would recommend a Mechanical guage over an electric one anytime. Besides...they are much easier to install, and look kinda good on the outside
